Tuition and Services

Teaching

As part of our after-school provision, our qualified and experienced teachers offer homework support and deliver tailored lessons on the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. In addition to core subjects, teachers deliver wider curriculum teaching on topics such as Geography, History and Social Studies.

Our teachers also deliver exam specific lessons, including revision and mock tests/exam sessions.

Wider Curriculum

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

We believe it is paramount to support the social, emotional, mental and physical development and wellbeing of all children, which includes ensuring they can access learning opportunities, regardless of their differing needs and abilities.

We have key members of staff that are trained and experienced in supporting and working with children with SEND, with a specific focus on Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

This support includes working closely with parents to develop individual support and learning plans, assigning key workers, and making reasonable adjustments for those children that need it.

Holiday timetable

General curriculum teaching takes place during term time; during the school holidays we continue to offer subject-specific teaching in conjunction with extra-curricular activities.

Summer Programme

During the summer holidays, we run a programme which focuses on developing children’s creativity and practical skills and engaging in fun new learning experiences. Summer Programme activities include:

  • Art, crafts
  • Cooking/baking classes
  • Charity fundraisers
  • Visiting local parks
  • Trips to areas of interest (previous trips included Blackpool, Chatsworth House, Stockeld Adventure Park, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Graves Farm, Kelham Island Museum, Weston Park Museum)
